Since the television show is about to be released, I knew I had to read this asap. I love an Elin book. There's a certain comfort her writing brings, and this book did not disappoint.
This was a fun & easy read. Love the perspective of all the different women, even the daughter. It really shows the complexity of people’s lives & the value of letting loose & enjoying female friendships. The Nantucket background was gorgeous & idyllic as always. I want a weekend at Hollis’ house. There were some moments that dragged & I found less interesting, such as the detailed backgrounds with the women & Hollis- sometimes it was too much. I loved Tatum’s inside thoughts such as “if the next firework is blue, I don’t have cancer”- such a relatable behavior. All the women were so relatable in their own way. And the ending was perfect!
