Thanks to Macmillan Audio & NetGalley for my complimentary listening copy. All opinions are my own.

This was an incredibly entertaining audiobook from start to finish. The narrators delivered strong, engaging performances that elevated the story & made it difficult to stop listening. The plot moves at a brisk pace, taking readers on a suspenseful, twist-filled journey packed with surprises. Just when I thought I had things figured out, another revelation shifted my perspective. The author does an excellent job maintaining tension throughout, & several genuinely unsettling moments added an extra layer of creepiness to the story.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, this book does what a lot of thrillers do: explain too much at the end & put a bow on everything. The author spent a significant amount of time explaining exactly how every piece fit together, which diminished some of the mystery. I also tend to prefer thriller endings that leave a few loose threads or lingering questions, whereas this one tied everything up very neatly.

Overall, this is a fast-paced, addictive thriller with excellent narration, compelling twists, & plenty of suspense. If you enjoy books that keep you guessing & deliver a thoroughly satisfying conclusion, this one is well worth the listen.
