My Husband's Wife by Alice Feeney

This book is a fast-paced & engaging read. The twists are unpredictable & continue to unfold in surprising ways, keeping the narrative dynamic. It is an ultimately satisfying novel. While it may not rank among the strongest psychological thrillers, particularly as parts of the ending feel somewhat contrived & overly sensational, making them difficult to fully follow, it remains compelling & difficult to set aside. The opening is especially effective, establishing a sense of urgency & shock that immediately draws the reader in.

Book 2: 4 Star Rating

Heart the Lover by Lily King

This is a super quick read, on Audible it’s right around six hours, which I really liked. I’ve been a bit conflicted about how I feel about this story. It’s ultimately very sad, yet satisfying. I was glad where the main character ended up & how the love story resolved. There’s a lot of sadness, but nothing that isn’t true to life.

Book 3: 5 Star Rating

It's Not Her by Mary Kubica

This book is incredible! I honestly have no notes. I was hooked from the first page & couldn’t put it down. The setting of the vacation cabin shifts so seamlessly from peaceful & idyllic to deeply unsettling, & even the smallest details, like the ever-present mosquitoes, add to the tension in a way that feels vivid & real. It’s the kind of story that demands to be read in one sitting, constantly pulling you to turn just one more page. I truly had no idea who the killer was or what happened, & at one point I was convinced the title itself was hinting at the answer-turns out, I was completely wrong. That twist? So well done, & I never saw it coming.
